Abstract:
~97% identical to consensus. 2-bp (TA) TSDs, and the target sequence shows a preference: (tGTACa); TSD is derived from the central TA. The protein junction matches with other single-exon Mariner Tpases. Nevertheless, another less-likely interpretation of this family is that the TSD is 4-bp GTAC-specific target and TSDs, but this is inconsistent with the TA-TSD of almost all other Mariner families. Besides, it suggests that the Mariner Tpase is haphazardly captured in this non-Mariner family. For this uncertainty, this family is named as Mariner-20u_ChOp.
