Abstract: This is a young family of autonomous Harbinger transposons. The consensus sequence was derived from multiple alignment of a few copies of Harbinger-3_TV (they are ~99% identical to each other). This transposon is accompanied the TwA 3-bp target site duplications. Harbinger-3_TV transposase forms a distinctive group, together with tranposases encoded by Harbinger-4_TV, Harbinger-1_PI, Harbinger-2_PI and Harbinger-3_PI.
