Abstract:
This consensus is generated from 10 sequences with >99% identity. Both sides of this transposon are (AC)n microsatellites, similarly to other Waldo elements such as WaldoAg1 in Anopheles gambiae (malaria mosquito) and WaldoFs1 in Forficula scudderi (earwig) [2]. Waldo is a group of (AC)n microsatellite-specific non-LTR retrotransposons belonging to the R1 clade.
