Abstract: The consensus sequence is less than 2% divergent from several copies of RandI-1_VC. It codes for a protein composed of the cysteine protease, AP endonuclease, reverse transcriptase, and RNase H domains. This sequence was derived from sequence data produced by the US Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute http://www.jgi.doe.gov/ in collaboration with the user community.
