Abstract: I-2_BF is a consensus sequence of the young I-2_BF family of non-LTR retrotransposons that belong to the I clade. The I-2_BF consensus sequence has two ORFs. ORF1 codes for a protein that contains the PHD domain at its N terminus. ORF2 codes for a proteins composed of the apurinic endonuclease, reverse transcriptase and ribonuclease H.
