Abstract:
VIHAT3-N1_VV (mHatvine-3.1 in [1]) is a non-autonomous DNA transposon which is a deletion derivate of the autonomous VIHAT3. Individual copies are >90% identical to the consensus sequence. TIRs are 16 bp-long (with 2 conserved mismatches) and flanked by 8 bp-long TSDs. There are approximately 30 highly conserved copies present in the genome which could place this family in the group of MITEs.
