Abstract: MuDR-13_VV (Mutavine-13 in [1]) consensus is an autonomous element. Its individual copies are >90% identical to the consensus sequence. Elements from this family have an unusual 3' ending, consisting of tandem repeated blocks of sequences (>3kb in total). Although several copies seem to be present in the genome, all shotgun sequences available so far physically stop in this region, possibly due to assembly limitations of such repeated regions. Therefore the true 3' border of the element is not known.
