Abstract: Gypsy-165-I_DR is an internal portion of the Gypsy-165_DR LTR retrotransposon that belongs to the Gypsy superfamily. Its long terminal repeat is deposited in Repbase as Gypsy-165-LTR_DR. Gypsy-165_DR is characterized by 4-bp target site duplications. The internal portion encodes two proteins: the 344-aa gag Gypsy30_DR1p (pos. 18-1049) and 1131-aa polyprotein (pos. 959-4351, conceptual translation) composed of the protease, reverse transcriptase, and integrase domains.
