Abstract: This is an internal portion of PREM1A_ZM LTR retrotransposon from Zea mays. Only a single complete copy could be found. It has very long LTRs (~3.3 kb), which are 99% similar to each other, and 5 bp-long TSDs (GGGGA). Part of PREM1A_ZM sequence is highly similar (93%) to PREM1 LTR retrotransposon from Zea mays and is likely to be a complete version of PREM1.
