Abstract: Kolobok-N8_NV is a consensus sequence of a family of non-autonomous Kolobok transposons. The Kolobok-N8_NV transposon is characterized by 24-bp TIRs and TTAA target site duplications. Its ~70-bp termini are similar to these in Kolobok-N7_NV. Kolobok-N8_NV elements are ~5% divergent from their consensus sequence.
