Journal: Repbase Reports 6(4), 178-178 (2006) |

Abstract: 87% identical to L1-3_ME. Both L1-3_ME and L1-3A_ME encode ORF1 only and as such they must be viewed as non-autonomous elements. On average the consensus is 88.7% identical to the individual sequences. The estimated number of copies in the genome is 170,000.
