Title: M. sativa putative retrotransposon ALFARE1. |

Journal: Repbase Reports 5(5), 98-98 (2005) |
|||
Abstract: There are only 4 complete copies of this element in currently available alfalfa sequence, along with numerous copies of the 1358 bp LTR. The complete elements are flanked by 5 bp target site duplications. Although the full-length copies contain several substantial ORFs, they have no similarity to any known proteins. Therefore it is not clear if this sequence represents a true autonomous retrotransposon.
