Title: L1-6_CR, a family of L1-like non-LTR retrotransposons from the green algae genome. |

Journal: Repbase Reports 5:(3) p.51 (2005) |
|||
Abstract: The L1-6_CR elements are flanked by 5-10-bp target site duplications. There are several hundred copies of L1-6_CR present in the genome. They are massively truncated at 5'. Many elements are just 20-60 bp long 3' terminal portions. The consensus is not complete at its 5' end. Some copies are less than 0.5% divergent from the consensus sequence.
