Abstract:
Copies of this consensus average 96-97% similarity to it, indicating that this is another element that may have been active relatively recently. ORFs were not as readily reconstructed, with frequent stop codons. The corresponding LTR is deposited as ERV5_MD_LTR. This consensus was reconstructed from the June 2005 release of the 6.8X WGS sequence.
