Title: GYPSY7, an old family of Gypsy-like endogenous retroviruses in drosophila. |
Journal: Repbase Reports 2:(8) p. 28 (2002) |
Abstract: GYPSY7_I is an internal portion of GYPSY7 endogenous retrovirus. GYPSY7's long terminal repeat LTR is listed in Repbase Update as GYPSY7_LTR. GYPSY7 is relatively old endogenous retrovirus; it is flanked by 10% divergent LTRs. Target site duplication is TACA. GYPSY7 is most close to BURDOC, their internal portions are 73% identical with each other.
