Title:
DNA9NNN1_DR, an ancient nonautonomous DNA transposon from zebrafish.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 2:(5) p. 10 (2002)
Abstract:
Several thousand copies of DNA9NNN1_DR are expected to populate the zebrafish genome. They are ~85% divergent from the consensus sequence. This element is characterized by 9-bp terminal inverted repeats and 3-bp target site duplications. Its classification is not certain yet, although it is expected to be a member of the Harbinger/IS5 superfamily.
