Abstract: ~2000 copies of DNA25TWA2_DR are expected to populate the complete zebrafish genome. They are ~3% divergent from the consensus sequence. This element is characterized by 25-bp terminal inverted repeats and the TWA targets site duplications. Its classification is not certain yet, although it is expected to be a member of the Harbinger/IS5 or Mariner/Tc1 superfamilies.
