Title: DNA16TA1_DR, a nonautonomous DNA transposon from zebrafish. |

Journal: Repbase Reports 2:(5) p. 8 (2002) |

Abstract: This element is characterized by 16-bp terminal inverted repeats and the TA targets site duplications. Its classification is not certain yet, although it is expected to be a member of the Mariner/Tc1 superfamily. DNA16TA1_DR and DNA15TA1_DR share identical 9-bp termini. There are several hundred copies of DNA16TA1_DR in the zebrafish genome; they are ~91% identical with the consensus sequence.
