Title: Initial survey of interspersed repeats in Takifugu rubripes. |

Abstract: SENKUSHA2A is very young and may still be active; on average copies are 1.7% diverged. There is no long ORF, but BLASTX and wise comparisons show strong homology to the Harbinger transposase. Because the termini are not always complete in each copy, the duplication pattern is unclear.
