Abstract: CHAPLIN3 currently has internal deletions and a partial coding sequence. The product is very (90%) similar to that of the primate Charlie3 element. Theee is another element in the fugu genome with close similarity to Charlie3. See CHAPLIN1. On average, copies are 8% diverged from the consensus.
