Abstract: ATCOPIA73_I is an internal region of the ATCOPIA73 copia-like endogenous retrovirus flanked by the 2% divergent ATCOPIA73LTRs and a 5-bp target-site duplication (CTTGA). ATCOPIA73_I encodes the ATCOPIA73p copia-like polyprotein, which is slightly damaged by false stop-codons.
