Abstract: ATCOPIA60_I is an internal region of the ATCOPIA60 copia-like endogenous retrovirus flanked by the 3% divergent ATCOPIA60LTR long terminal repeats, and by a 5-bp target-site duplication (GATAC). ATCOPIA60_I encodes remnants of the ATCOPIA60p copia-like polyprotein.
